The legacy of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India, goes beyond his presidency and his significant contribution to India's scientific and technological growth. Hailing from a humble background in Rameswaram, Kalam pursued a degree in Physics at the University of Madras and later aerospace engineering at Madras Institute of Technology (MIT).

His research and projects at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) were instrumental in earning him the title of 'Missile Man'.
